St. Julians - Paradise of Malta

St. Julians or San Giljan (as locals call it) is named after the Patron Saint of the town, Saint Julian. St. Julians is populated with around 8000 people and is mostly known by its thriving nightlife and touristic activities. The village is full of life and beloved by both locals and tourists. St. Julians has several restaurants, shops, beaches and other kind of entertainment which makes the village a nice place to stay for a holiday or is it at least worth a visit. 

Entertainment in St. Julians

St. Julians offers many kind of entertainment, for example: several boat tours, a movie theatre, scuba dive sessions and a bowling area. There is also a funhouse for children and there are wellness resorts and spas for adults. Three of the 4 largest casinos in Malta are settled in St. Julians: ‘Casino Malta’, ‘Dragonara Casino’ and ‘Portomaso Casino’ which makes this the perfect village to gamble. Another beautiful place in St. Julian is the Portomaso Marina, it has this amazing view when you can enjoy delicious food in one of the restaurants. So, do you want to go to St. Julians with family, children or friends? You won’t get bored here because there is always something to do for all ages. 

Within St. Julians there is a district called Paceville. Paceville is mostly famous because of its nightlife and is full of nightclubs, gentlemen clubs, bars and restaurants. In the summer months is Paceville on its busiest because of the European teenagers who come here to party. 

Paceville has a large shopping and entertainment centre called: Baystreet. Many huge fashion brands are located in this mall even as popular international chains like McDonalds and HardRock Cafe. Many different events are organised in this mall almost every week which makes Baystreet very enjoyable and a fun place to go.

Beaches in St. Julians

Many hotels and apartments in St Julians are near the beaches and if not, these are easy to reach by public transport. Most beaches in St. Julians are rocky but it also has 3 sandy beaches, which are the most popular by tourism.

St. Julians has a small sandy beach called Balluta Bay. This beach is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and water sports. The beach is surrounded by cafés and the Carmelite Parish Church, which makes the skyline of the beach incredibly beautiful. Another sandy beach is the St. George’s Bay which is surrounded by clubs, restaurants and other entertainment.

Spinola Bay is a beloved beach by many couples and families because it is a great beach to sunbath and swim. In the evening the bay is beautifully lit what makes it a very romantic place for an evening walk.
